# Input Masking & Custom Masking

Zipy’s **Input Masking** feature ensures that all input field data on the screen is automatically masked during session recordings. This powerful feature prevents sensitive information from being visible in the recordings, safeguarding user privacy and maintaining compliance with data security standards.

Masks sensitive information to prevent unauthorized viewing.

**Update the Flutter package version to 0.0.7 or above.**

This feature is enabled by default, providing seamless protection for your mobile session replays.

### **Custom Input Masking**

Zipy also offers custom input masking options. You can implement these by wrapping buttons, widgets, or containers with `ZipyBlock`. See the example below for guidance.

```dart
import 'package:zipy_flutter/zipy_flutter.dart';
ZipyBlock(
child: ElevatedButton(
 onPressed: dioPostFailCall,
 child: Text('Dio POST Fail'),
),
),
```

**Note**: Input masking is enabled by default. For custom masking options, please contact us at [support@zipy.ai](mailto:undefined).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.zipy.ai/zipy-for-mobile/flutter-setup/input-masking-and-custom-masking.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
